Limestone of 'Međeđe': Nikšić as filler in various industries

This paper presents the results of testing possibility using limestone from "Međeđe" - Nikšić deposit in different industries. During examination, coarse moisture, chemical composition, granulometric bulk and particle density, degree whiteness, oil water absorption, composition micronized samples specific surface area were determined. All tests performed on 8 taken parts mean values obtained are presented here. Based physico-chemical characteristics, it can be stated that this has a high content CaO CaCO3 99.01%, as well relatively low MgO 0.32% SiO2 0.26% alkali R2O3, with also heavy metals, which is very favorable for limestone. With these properties, used following industries: paints varnishes, paper, rubber PVC, foundry industry, sugar metallurgical purposes, glass production, animal feed production mineral fertilizer production. A serious defect "Međeđa" does not exceed 89.6%, prevents its use pharmaceutical industries, while K2O, Fe Mn calcification acid soils.
